Workshop: Understanding Issues of Photographic Ethics

  • Documentary Arts Asia Khai Muk Soi 4 Chiang Mai Thailand (map)

Have you ever thought about ethics in photography?

Have you wondered about whether you should ask for consent to take a stranger's photograph?

Do you have strong opinions about iconic photos like Eddie Adam's "Saigon Execution" or Kevin Carter's "Starving Child and Vulture"?

Or maybe this is the first time you've considered ethics?

This workshop is for anyone who takes pictures. It will provide an opportunity for photographers to engage in a thoughtful discussion about ethics, to better understand different ethical issues, and to develop your own approach to ethics in your photographic practice.

The workshop will be facilitated by Ryan Libre and Savannah Dodd.
